And I said I will revive, watch me!! So felly, I posted something!!!!!!!! REvived!!!! :p

Well, but I must say she is right, haven't been posting something for months, my apology. But hey, y'all can't blame me alright! Please blame my laziness, my busy schedule, blame exams, quizzes, assignments, blame my awesome social life. But NOT ME!! :p heh! I'm just being an ass, ignore pls. :)

Awesome things have been going on in my life this few months, I'm loving it. Met more people, visited more places, trying to enjoy my life to the fullest, well, despite I have to maintain my busy academic schedule as well. :) I won't say I'm living ahead of the American dream, but at least in between. So far, I fulfilled quite a few, and I would say this is the greatest one: Club La Vela. In the past, it has always been my dream to visit Club La Vela @ Panama City Beach, Florida, which is the largest club in United States! And, during this summer, I finally did! :)

P/S: A shout out to few my bros: Jay Hong, Lewis yong chi, Sien Xian, yie heng. Remember how we always talked about this back home, I went there and I am still looking forward going there with you guys, just like we plan. :)

A short notice

This is not exactly a post but just a short notice to let anyone who care to know, Charles is not dead yet! =D

Final exam is just around the corner and in fact, it is less than a week for me, so dearest all, forgive me for not updating my blog. Actually, I've lots of pics to upload, including my spring break vacation and things happen around my life in the States. So, I promise I'll upload it right after final exam is over alright! ;)

Yesterday, out of random, I suddenly miss Vinoad so I pick up my phone and called him. P/S: In fact, I called couple of times but no one picked up! >,< Anyway, we had a great conversation, just like old times. I'm happy I did that. That makes me miss each and everyone of ya back in Malaysia, other part of the States or other countries very, very much. We all have great times back then but life just gotta move on, only memories left within. And, I'm pretty sure everyone is moving on pretty well. :)

PART I

Ok, Let's Blog! :)

First of all, lets share something, something about one's life. We often heard: "Life is precious", 3 simple words, barely a sentence, yet indeed very true.This is simply because, we, everyone of us only got to live once, one and only once, and that's what makes life precious! In every corner of this world, every single one of us has our own story to tell, own book to write about our own life, often filled with happiness, sorrow, excitement, emotional, etc., each with a unique, different content and chapters of stories. And, the story won't end, not until we run out of pages, and that comes a time when we have to put a full stop to it. However, running out of pages or not is not something up to us to decide, normally. God provide pages, we do the writing.

Alright, a slight change of angle of viewing, say things become abnormal. What IF? If, for some reasons, one cannot carry on with the story anymore, running out of content to write perhaps. So, he/she put a full stop to it, tearing the pages off, which often takes lots of strength to do that. From that point onward, that's the end of story, end of life. That, my friends, I guess will be something closest to committing suicide. The psychology behind it, no one will ever truly understand, not until we're in that stage and actually did it ourselves. And clearly, if that is the case, I rather, I'll never understands it...

About a month ago, an Indian guy from my university, who is doing his Master/PhD degree, aged of 26/27 years old, fell down from LSU Life Sciences Building, which is 6 stories high. Apparently, he had chose to end his life. He died in the hospital about one hour later. Indeed, it's a sad tragedy for everyone. Many people had witnessed the incident, and I guess, I would be one of them. I was stunt! I pray, may god bless over him and his soul may rest in peace..

It is never an easy task to commit suicide, it takes a whole lot of strength and courage to make one person jump down from that building. Clearly, I don't really know what problem he is facing, but something that can drives him to jump down from there, what he was facing must be really big, until he is so emotionally painful that he can't cope it anymore. I really felt sorry for him. Imagine before this he spoke to the right person, or he got a piece of advice from anyone, the whole thing might end up differently. Never knows. Frankly, I don't know that guy personally, not ever met him, but I do feel for him, his family and his friends. From the bottom of my heart, my deepest condolences to his family and friends, because, I clearly know that the person who has died ain't the one who suffer the most, it is those who are still living, especially people who love him dearly and close to him, are the one that suffer the most, as they would have to carry this sad emotions and memories with them for their whole life..

I am no professional. I don't think I am eligible to have right to give advices. But, my dear friends, I am always willing to listen. So, to all my friends: Life is not perfect and is never easy. It is never a straight highway to success, always roads fill with curves and turns. Probably, we were meant to swim across river with crocodiles, sail across pacific ocean, go through amazon forests, over mount Everest or whatever it is, before we come to our destination. In that process, accept the facts that there are ups and down, there are shitty times and fucked up moments, always do. So, my point is, I really, truthfully, sincerely, do not wish anyone I knew in my life, whoever you are, have any similar incident happen like above, not even close! No special motives from me, it is just simply because I love you all, dearly! Really, each and everyone of you! As long as you knew me, you spoke to me, then you're my friend, and I would love to be part of your story. At any point in your life, any problems or shitty times you had, you're most welcome to talk to me. I don't promise i give good advices, or have your problem settled, but always will shut my mouth up, only speaks when necessarily when you allow, always have my ears open up, listen to every single word you have to say. That definitely is better than keeping to oneself. And who knows, maybe all that takes to change one person's mind, is to be slightly open up, a bit, just a bit...

-You only live once, so treasure it as life is precious, live for today only as it is all that matters. Tell the one you loved, you love, to make sure there is no regrets. Live hard, learn hard, party hard!-

PART II

Alright people, enough of the emoness and quotations, lets reveal the trailer of part of my life in US. As usual, more pictures than words! enjoy~~

First of all, CRAWFISH BOIL !!!! Before I go further, people might ask what the heck is Crawfish. First thing first, it is NOT a fish! Not even similar. It is prawn like aquatic being but it is not a prawn. It looks larger than a prawn but smaller than a lobster, so i guess you can call it a small lobster. It lives in freshwater. It can be found in a few places like Australia, New Zealand and United States. But, In United States, you can't find it in every states but only the Southern Part, and Louisiana is one of the rare state you can find crawfish! So every year, there is a season for crawfish where they reproduce a lot i guess, for people like us to eat them! :p haha! They taste like ordinary prawns to me, but people here claimed it's different. Oh well..

Moving on, I went to kenny, chag fong and nic's house for dinner one night. And guess what, I had CHICKEN RICE!!!! My first chicken rice after 3 months in US, and Kenny cooked it, amelia helped out. And for me... I am sitting in the living room playing PS-3.. hehe! Big Thanks to kenny and amelia! :)

Actually, that is not what about that night. The thing that made my night is that after the opera was over, I saw a girl standing against the wall talking with some peeps, and I assure you, she is really really pretty! Drop dead gorgeous i would say! Well, at least that is what I think. Amelia spotted her too and being the bravest among all, she walked up and start a conversation with her. Her name is Aileen, i think, i hope i spelled it correctly. Anyway, we manage to talk for a jiffy and Amelia wanted to take a picture with her so I used my camera and do them a favor: :)

Aright! 1st of all, my most sincere apology to y'all, I didn't mean to abandoned my blog, it is just that uni. have been freaking busy this month due to mid terms and stuff, so haven't been really have much free time. Well,life is good! Apart from study life have been pretty sucky at times (all the times!!), life in the States is still pretty fascinating! :)

Lets go a a bit into the study life, Thermodynamics is hard shit! I screw up my 1st test! :( and that nearly drive me insane, literally, as in at that point of time, i feel like jumping down from 11th floors building, inti would be a pretty good choice, huh? :p but of cuz that thought was just pass through my mind for a jiffy, and i snap out of it after that. Well, no one to blame but me. So, I allow myself to be emo. for one day (hey! that's the least i can do! >,<) Now, I've to get damn high score for the next 2 tests and a final exam, it is the only way out. Clearly, i never done this before, but there is a first time for everything, and thermodynamics! you're lucky that you're the 1st that drive my enthusiasm. For other subjects, I am not doing like damn good, but i am doing pretty well i would say. yay me? alright, perhaps not. :p

Alright, move on to social life in United States. Well, my social life expended and i like the way it is expanding ,and i hope it expand bigger. :) Life's not dull, and I went out for a few events last month. I had a awesome time! :) To make this post not too wordy, it'll be more pictures than words alright people!! Enjoy~~

It was pretty cool since this is the 1st time i saw it by myself. The whole place is flooded with gazillion of people jumping and singing. I was amazed. Then, the following week i went out with a bunch of ppl from malaysia and hong kong. Awesome time I had! It is nice to hang out with people who shares same or similar culture together. It somehow feels a step closer to home :) We went IHOP, again. :p

This is Amelia, the girl who took the group picture for us. She is from Miri, exactly the same home town as mine!! And her family and my family were friends for a long time since before we were born, which I clearly didn't know until I got here! How small can a world be? :p It felt kinda exited to meet someone came from the same exact place as you. :) Friendly and outgoing girl! I am glad i met her! :)

I didn't get to go anywhere the following week, 1st is cuz of exam. But the main reason is cuz i cute my finger while doing the dishes. I was like washing the glass and out of a sudden it broke and the glass pieces cut right through my finger, a deep one some more! I can see even see my flesh. then, blood start bleeding, i cover it and walk all the way to LSU health center, and damn it is close cuz it is a weekend. xd so, i've to wait until monday only see the doctor. The doctor said i suppose to call the emergency number for situation like this, so now they couldn't stitch it anymore due to infections, so they clean the wound for me, wrap it up and gave me a titannus shot just in case. The glass that cut my finger is from walmart, can i sue them pls and get million of dollars??? pretty pls? xD

Just today, I went to Lafayette. :) Thanks to Nicholas who came all the way down from South Baton Rouge and pick me up all the way up to Lafayette. It is one hour car distant from Baton Rouge. We skated again, with different people this time. :) There is a little girl over there who look not more than 7 years old and she skate like the olympics! I got surffed but damn, I've to admit she's good!! xd Later at night, we went to Texas Road House for dinner! We waited for like half an hour cuz is a Saturday, full of people! But, it worth the time waiting cuz the food was yummy and delicious!!! :D

P/S: I dun have the photos for today's yet, but i'll upload as soon as i get them. :)

I ordered the Sirloin Steak and Ribs Combos, came with mash potatoes and seasoned rice. Dun you just love yummy food? :p

Well, so far that is all about it. :) Next week, days full with assignments again, and i got two exam too! Well, wish me luck people! :)

Before I call it out, a few words i wanna say to my dear all :) People told me, close friends are hard to meet, and u'll not even meet one in your life, or probably just a few. But, Imma have to disagree with that saying today, cuz i'm blessed with close friends from God! not one, not two or three, but alot. I know you guys will always support and stand by me no matter what kinda shit situation I am in, and clearly u guys already did it all these while! Thanks for calling and skyping constantly with me although we're in different place. Call and talk to me as soon as u guys knew i was not alright. I really appreciate it. And some even still call me when they face problems, I am really happy cuz Charles came across your mind when u have probs, and that's what friends for. I miss you all dearly and i hope for the best for you all too!!

2010 is a year of Tiger. Chinese New Year has already began back in Malaysia and other asian countries I suppose, but hmm, can't really feel the CNY atmosphere in Baton Rouge. Well, it is a bit sad, but hey! at least I still got my one week holiday in conjunction to Mardi Gras Festival!! If I'm not mistaken, it is a one week holiday for Louisiana only. =D For any peeps who have question on What is Mardi Gras, please follow this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Orleans_Mardi_Gras :) To all my friends in Louisiana, you guys have a great hols alright! God bless and i love ya'll!! :) To all my friends at other parts of United Sates/ Canada: God bless ya'll too! Do Study hard! party hard (if there is time), and oh well, you guys can start getting jealous now. hehe! :p I love all of you too!! :) As for my CNY this year, although I can't celebrate like the past at here, but I'm pretty sure that Malaysians and Chinese here will come up with something, and I'm sure it'll gonna be equally cool and fun!! However, I can't actually the whole week off though, due to exams and assignments due dates are gonna be right after the holidays ends, so MAN!! i still gotta study! Sucks! xd

Enough of CNY :) I had an awesome time for the past two weeks, well, despite of exams, assignments, due dates and etc. xd But overall, I enjoyed myself here so far, and i hope, and I believe, life is so gonna get even better!! :) One of the night last week, I went of out with a bunch of American and international friends to have dinner outside and seriously, I had a awesome time! :) It is so cool that different people from different nation and states can come together and have great time! There are New Orleans, Boston, Baton Rouge, Nigeria, South Korea, China, Africa and etc. Now, That's Cool! ;)

With a bunch of great peeps, having dinner at a Chinese restaurant and the food was ok.

Alright, another happening thing happened in The US: SUPER BOWL 2010!!!!

It is the football (Rugby) match of the season in US man!! In Malaysia and other countries, soccer is like THE SPORT! World Cup and Premier league is like THE GAME!! Now, here in US, football (Rugby) is THE SPORT and Super Bowl is THE GAME!! It is in Miami and sadly i can't be there to watch the LIVE myself, so i watch on TV (LIVE) with lots and lots of other peeps. Everyone is crazy, shouting and cheering!! THE SAINTS vs. THE COLTS.

Well, although I'm not a American, but i go with the culture here! Cheer as crazy as them too! :) The Saints is from New Orleans and New Orleans is in Louisiana. I am in Louisiana so I support THE SAINTS!!! :) After long hours of match, FINALLY, THE SAINTS beat COLTS by 17-31!!! WooHoo~~~ People Cheer, jump, scream like crazy, never before. Craziness can be heard and seen from every corner. I am happy for The Saints too!! Geaux Saints!! WhoDat!! :)

Alright, some more coming up. :) Before I go on, let me explain the weather of baton rouge or more like weather of Louisiana. Weather here is pretty weird, you can get sunny for today day and rainy the other day. Cold for today, freezing cold for another day and somehow it gets warm again. Temperature here changes like mad. And Louisiana is in the southern part of united states, so means that technically, Louisiana actually don't and won't snow. Now, the weather got even weirder, It actually snowed in Baton Rouge, how weird can it go further more? xd Yesterday, I woke up in the morning, get ready to go for class as usual, and when i look out the window, i'm like, is it raining? i look closer, zomg!! it is actually snowing! I felt happy for a while cuz maybe i thought there will be no class, and who knows when i check my email, class is carry on as usual. Damn it!!! xd But, it was not a scene you see everyday in Baton Rouge, so, i took some pictures :) Enjoy.. :

Alright! I know I should update! But, sigh, time is just not enough over here. Class started 2 weeks ago, and god! homeworks have already been piling up. Due date for one HW haven't past, the next one has come. Quizzes pop out once in a while, and let me see, test in 2 weeks time. So, typical student schedule, study in regular basis, 24 hours just seems not enough. But, I pretty looking forward to weekends every week, cuz that's the time i can chill abit :) So, yeah! Weekends again! :)

However, life is not always that sucks, my social life is still bearable. :) I met all kinds of ppl here with different kinds of nationality, locals and international!! So I really thank god for placing a whole bunches!! of nice and friendly people around me in United States, when I'm so far from home. I could have met other kind of peeps, but no, I met you ppl! Seriously, Thanks all!! You ppl know who you are! :)

Last week, I met quite a few malaysians and other new friends during a gathering dinner. It's nice to see people from the same country around here, it feels slightly closer to home :) We went to this chinese restaurant called Hunan, food is pretty not bad, as well as the price.. !! xd After that, we went chang fong appartment and whoohoo!! Mahjong session, poker cards, PS3, liquors, shots, etc! you named it!! [Losers drink shots!] :) And Chang fong, i like the alcohol u mixed. Nice! :) All in all, I had a great night. I get baq home at like 3.45 am.. thanks jacqueline for driving me home :) Mogan, i think bit drunk too.. :p I drank like so many shots until i lost count cuz i keep losing at some point, and helping others drink as well. So, in the end, I'm not like drunk drunk! But, I had a serious tipsy, the whole world is spinning. I walked back from the gate to my appartment and my room mate is still awake. Thanks Diego, I'm fine, i think.. :p After that, i fell flat on my bed until the next morning. I havent felt like that for so a long time, COOL! :p People, next drinking/ party session, do count me in! :)

P/S: Sry ppl, no pictures this time, cuz I cant even stand straight, i've no idea how am i suppose to take pictures :) If anyone took it and if i get it, i'll definately post it up! :)

After having all the fun, alright, I've to get back to my regular basis, study schedule! :(

Speaking of that, Engineering statistics, thermodynamics, electric circuit and geology is waiting for me, i gotta get back to them.. sigh.

First of all, I wanna let you all know charles is still alive! . :) I've been leaving my blog for about a week, but that doesn't mean i am abandoning the blog alright. It has been a slightly busy week for me as there are too many things to settle, just too much, and i don't even think these matters exists until move to US, cuz all the while back in malaysia, all of it have been settled and i dun even have to lay a finger or even think about it. How lucky! Now, so much of being independent, UNCOOL!! xd Yet, life goes on, no turning back.

Anyway,I have shifted into my new apartment this week!!! =D Well, it is not a big and fancy one, but as a student, it did just fine. :) It is a 2 bedroom appartment and i sharing it with a room mate, who is a brazillian, Diego Daflon Tavares Pinto, a cool, friendly and helpful dude, and seriously, he help me out alot. I'll put picture up and go detail next time. :) Well, unfortunateely, the appartment come unfurnish, besides only a stove and a refrigerator. So, I gotta buy my own bed, tables, chairs, sofas, and other necessary stuff. Sigh.. see the point? Since when do we need to go shop for furnitures back home? It is.. erm, just already there. :p So, yea, i went walmart to shop, it is pretty huge. I went online to shop as well, amazon.com, practically you can find everything there. And i guess all of them are in progress of shipping now, i'll upload pictures when the new appartment are all ready. :)

AND, this is the fun part. During my 1st week here, i went to a so called, American party. It's not a wild one like we see on american movie, but it is indeed different from what back in malayia. It was pretty cool and i had fun, met some new peeps too! :)

Later that week is the international student oientation night, and LSU throw a gathering party to all international students. It was pretty fun as well. The cool part is i manage to met americans and as well as people from all around the world. :)

And for this week, i'll be attending a church dinner things tmr, it's to welcome all new and old students back LSU. Hopfully meet more ppl. :) And this friday there will be a meeting up dinner for all malaysians studying in LSU. Malaysians are pretty few over here, pretty allien too, and it's always nice to see another malaysian around. :) Will update about it in my next blog. :)

Ohh ohh.. before i forget aboutit, guess what is saw in the activity hall, I saw a Malaysia flag and as well as this:

Lol, sorry for the all hiked up mood. :p When oneself is in a foreign country, it feels something when you see something from home country, anything! You'll feel like "hey! this is from malaysia!! I'm from there man! :p" Alright, I'll shut up now... : x

And, class starting tmr and god, i really dunno how am i gonna get through this semester. All the subjects are heavy ones, Thermodynamics, Geology, engineering probability statistics and electric circuits. Ppl, wish me luck and i hope i am still alive at the end of the semester. xd And, over here, you just cant afford to fail or withdraw. The fees are way too expensive!! no matter you do the currency conversion or not! Currency conversion only means more expensive! Keep in mind, stick the figures to dollars, it makes you feel better! lol! :p And i've not mention the textbooks!! Sorry ppl, no photocopy textbooks over US, No MAC centre, No Ichiban. If they open their shops over here, they'll go bankcupt very soon. Apparently,

pleagiarism is a quite a big matter here, you can be charged for doing so. What to do? You buy original text books which cost you hundreds of dollars! DOLLARS MAN!

Overoll, I would say i am still adapting fine over here, leading my life. And hopfully, my life here will get more and more interesting each day. :)

The cuisine, I miss..

Online is the only way I feel a step closer to home. Here, I at least have the networks to get contact with some old friends and family as well. So, when I online, I blog too. :) [P/S: Amirah mz!! my blog is definately not gonna last for one month only, watch!! :p]

Today, I got lost while walking within the campus and the sky was drizzling some more. Although I have a map in my hand with me, I still lost my way. This place is just too many buildings and halls, too complex. I walk until my leg almost break already. So, after a walk for more than an hour, I gave up and call my friend to come and look for me. Thank god I am lost ad found, so finally I'm able to get out of the maze! And, I am not gonna walk around campus anymore without any companion, not until I get familiar with this place. Grr... long day!

Alright, we shall continue. Now, after been here for few days, Charles is soooo craving for good food, more to local food, some more to home cooked food. At here, you only can see restaurants like burger king, MCD, Wendys, Jack in the box, more western restaurants and even more american restaurants! And the portions are like huge!! If you think the Malaysia portion is large when you order a large meal, here is 3 times larger! I can even break it into 2 meal! xd And If you see a chinese restaurant, indian restaurant or even japanese restaurant here, do thank god. :) Plus, they are expensive too!! regardless you do the currency conversion or not. Furthermore, tipping is like a culture here, so no matter what restaurant you enter, as long as you sit down and have meal, you tip after that. So, that makes it even more expensive. Hmm, well, although I have to say they do have great service here. :p

So, this is what I had yesterday for breakfast and it lasted me for the whole day:

The American breakfast @ IHOP (International House of Pancakes). Like wth, you call this a breakfast?? more like lunch or even dinner!! Yet, it was super delicious. ;p

Today, I can't stand it anymore! I miss chinese food so much and I went to the only chinese restaurant near campus, The Chinese Combo King! Cool name huh? The boss and the lady boss were really nice to me too. Nice couple. Oh yea, and I ordered this:

Tadaaa.. The sweet & sour pork rice! :) I like! still prefer malaysia's one though. :) But, it does it job pretty well, it filled up my crave. :)

So far, that is the food part. My dear friends and family back there, as you can see charles miss local food very very much, so someone please kindly poslaju some food over to the States pls. Thank you. :) Wishlist: Chicken rice, nasi lemak, roti canai, char kuey tiaw, mee hoon, fried rice, satay and the list go on, etc. :)

A slight exploration

Alright!! I have my committment :) i started a blog i will make sure it is updated and stay alive. Well, as long as the blogger is still alive of cuz. :p It's already like my 3rd day in LSU and so far everything is fine, only that i got lots of minor and major things to settle, which before i don't have to do it myself, it is always been done. Sigh, so much of being independent, i rather don't grow up.

Alrite, enough of emo talkings, now a little tour around LSU :) i haven't been too far from where i stay, only some places nearby, but the scenes are already amazing enough. First things first, baton rouge is a nice place, quiet and peaceful. Freaking cold too in winter. Not much of entertaiment around here. Shops close pretty early and it started to get dark at around 4:30 p.m. So, sometimes, Boredom!! xd Alright, less chatter, let the pictures do the talking :)

Ok ppl. A little explanation. LSU is like one of the best in rugby [called football in US] and the our mascot is Tiger. So, LSU actually owns a real tiger! This tiger above is a real creature which live within campus! His name is Mike VI. VI man!! Caged up of cuz. But the caged is like enormously huge with nice decoration of plants and ponds. His treatment is like worldclass VIP. I'm envy!

Alright! Basically, this is how much i explore within this 2 days. There are more pictures of cuz yet to be post. I will explore furthermore. :) I won't said I love Baton Rouge yet, but we'll see how it goes.

A new page of my life

Hi all! :) Yeap, Charles finally start a a blog. One main reason is because I wanna let all my friends and family know that Charles is not dead, and will not be dead [i hope.. :p]. So, any new post here means i am still alive. To those who doesn't know, I am already in United States!!!! : D and people, let me reassure you that long hours flight ain't cool!! I flew from Singapore to Moscow (11 hours), transit and delay in moscow airport for like 4 hours, then flew from moscow to Houston for another 14 hours. When I reached Houston, I got detained by US custom, get through immigration and then check in Continental Airlines to fly to Baton Rouge. All these takes up 5 hours. So, when i reach Baton Rouge, it is already like 8:30 pm local time. I've got jet lag and my mind are all mess up.

Well, then i got pick up by the International cultural Centre and they brought me to he temporary housing since i cant move in to my appartment yet. Well, I've to say people here are really friendly cuz they really help me out. And, me the dumb ass accidentally left my bag pack at the airport with my I-20 in it!!!! thanks god it is colleted by the police and i already claimed it back from them. So far, Americans are friendly. :)

However, the feeling is still different from back in Malaysia. I guess, I finally understands the meaning of home is always the best place to be. yea, truly, i miss home, my family and of cuz my friends. I admit, I've homesick. fast huh? yea, i am supprise myself as well. I didn't cry in the 1st night (i lied.. )
